Jewelry Care
Our jewelry is designed with high-quality, premium materials. Made to be worn every day. Even so, it's important to care for it gently. We want your jewelry to stay with you in the best possible condition.
Important note:
At Mattera, we work with high-quality gold plating, but the finish isn't designed to last forever. Continued use, friction, contact with skin, individual pH levels, and exposure to chemicals or humidity can cause the plating to fade over time. This gradual wear is a natural process and is not considered a manufacturing defect, but rather part of the piece's life cycle. Proper care will help prolong the appearance of the plating, but we cannot guarantee that it will remain unchanged indefinitely.
careful
- Avoid direct contact with perfumes, creams, hairsprays, makeup and cleaning products, as they can ruin the finish and plating of the pieces.
- Remove your jewelry before showering, swimming, playing sports, or sleeping to avoid damage from impacts, prolonged exposure to moisture, and sweat. Seawater and pool water can dull the shine of your jewelry.
- Try to put on your jewelry once you are dressed and after applying products to your skin and hair.
- Please note that some natural materials may show slight variations, veins, or markings inherent to their origin. These characteristics are part of their uniqueness and are not considered defects.
Cleaning
- Clean your jewelry regularly with a soft, dry cloth, using gentle strokes to remove traces of skin, grease, or other products.
- Do not use tissues, scouring pads or abrasive cleaners, as these can scratch the surface and alter the shine of the jewelry.
How should I store my jewelry?
- Store each piece separately, in its box or case, to avoid rubbing and scratching between jewelry.
- Keep your jewelry in a dry, ventilated place, away from direct sunlight and sources of moisture.
- Avoid leaving them loose in bags, drawers, or on surfaces where they can get bumped, tangled, or scratched by other objects.
